Welcome to HOPE for KIDS
Enthusiasm for Lifelong Learning!WHO ARE WE
A 4-Star rated Parent Aware Program!
Hope for Kids Childcare Center, located in Hope United Methodist Church, has been serving the community with quality childcare since July 2020. Our staff provides an exceptional, safe, caring environment that creates a foundation for life-long learning! At Hope for Kids, we provide engaging experiences in art, music, science and math concepts, self-help skills and social awareness. Our curriculum is child-inspired, and teachers plan their lessons to support the child’s learning. We offer a full-range of quality childcare for infants, toddlers and preschoolers!
We are open Monday-Friday, 6:00 am-6:00 pm, year-round.
Infant Care
6 weeks-16 months
Infants develop best in direct relationship with a supporting caregiver. Our infant program is designed to be a comfortable environment where infants are encouraged to explore and learn about their world in a safe, clean and familiar atmosphere. Consistency in caregiving is our goal to allow the child to develop a healthy attachment. Our Infant team understands child development and is responsive to the needs of each child. Infants benefit most from individualized care and our infant team will accommodate their schedule for eating, sleeping and playing.
Toddler Care
16 months-33 months
Practice, practice, practice. Repetition of movement and activities is important for brain development for toddlers. Repetition strengthens the connections in the brain for skill development. The Toddler team provides brain stimulating activities that are familiar allowing children to practice their skill while also introducing new materials in order to bring their development to the next level.
Preschool Care
33 months-5 years old
Preschoolers are curious, creative and playful. For preschoolers, play and exploration are the most meaningful ways for children to acquire skills and knowledge as well as to practice skills and refine understanding of new concepts. Rather than view play as nonacademic, our Preschool Team recognizes that high quality play experiences present many learning opportunities that have long-lasting effects for children. Our team plans the environment and experiences with learning in mind. There are a variety of activities, freedom to explore and experiment, a safe environment in which to make mistakes and engaging lessons. Preschoolers benefit from a combination of individual, shared and teacher-led activities.
LET’S MEET THE TEAM
Our Early Childhood Team is a quality team of Teachers, Assistants and Aides who are committed to nurturing and caring for children while providing an engaging environment for children to learn and grow.
Together, our excellent team strives to provide care that meets and exceeds the requirements of the Minnesota Department of Human Services, align our learning experiences with the Minnesota Indicators of Progress and comply with the safety and quality standards of the St. Louis County Health Department.
